Matecs purchases CNC milling machine BT 1500+ and expands machine park
Matecs has been a strong partner in the field of total solutions in metal for more than 50 years. From small to large, from straightforward to very complex works. Machining, complete products, engineering or revision: Matecs is a true total supplier in its field. The team consists of more than 30 professionals and the company is located in Roosendaal and has the ISO 9001 and ISO 3834-2 certificate.
CNC machines
As a major machining company, Matecs is affiliated with the DHMA and the company’s machinery consists of various conventional and CNC-controlled machining centers for turning, drilling, boring and milling, or combinations thereof. In October last year, this machine park was expanded with a newly purchased CNC milling machine, the Style BT 1500+. This smaller milling machine may be an odd one out for the company, but according to users, the milling machine is stable and relatively simple to use. Several colleagues have learned to use it and it appears to be a nice addition to the current machine park.
The machine is especially practical for Matecs, because it allows them to switch even faster: they can now mill small parts themselves, both single pieces and small series. The machine is the youngest in the organization and therefore a real benjamin, the permanent operator, on the other hand, is an “old hand in the trade” with almost 38 years of employment. After a relatively short training, this colleague has mastered the machine well and is happy and proud to be able to work with it.
Constant improvement
Matecs always looks for optimization of their products and processes. A well-functioning machine, relatively easy to use, supplied by a partner who can respond quickly and who has also properly provided training, is a valuable asset. The lines of communication with Style are short, their support is good and the training has paid off.
